Nobody should feel uncertain walking into a laboratory. Here is the whole visit, start to finish, so you know exactly what to expect before you leave the house.

Ring and ask anything — which test your doctor meant, what it will cost, whether you need to come fasting. There is no appointment and no waiting list. We open at six in the morning, so a fasting sample never costs you your breakfast.
And if coming in is hard — an elderly patient at home, a whole office, or a group booking — we may be able to collect where you are instead. It depends how far you are, so call and we will tell you straight away.

A fresh needle and a sealed vacutainer, opened in front of you. It is over in under a minute. If an X-ray or ECG is on the same slip, it happens in the same visit — nobody is sent back a second time.

Your sample goes onto a closed automated system — the Erba EM 200 NEO for biochemistry, the H 560 for blood counts. Nothing is pipetted by hand. The machine measures the same way at six in the morning as it does at nine at night, which is the whole point of it.

Most reports are ready before your day is over. Collect them at the counter, or ask us to send a copy to your phone on WhatsApp so you can forward it straight to your doctor without another trip.

A resting ECG takes a few minutes and needs no preparation. Useful alongside a lipid profile or troponin test when your doctor is checking the heart.
Inside the lab
Hand-pipetted results drift between technicians and between days. Ours are run on automated analysers, so the number on your report means the same thing in June as it does in December.
Automated biochemistry
Runs liver, kidney, lipid and sugar panels from a single sample tray, with the reagent volumes measured by the machine rather than by hand.
5-part haematology
Separates all five white-cell types for a full blood count — the level of detail a doctor needs to tell a viral fever from a bacterial one.
Dry laser film imaging
Prints X-ray films by laser with no chemical bath, so the image is sharp, dry to the touch immediately, and identical if reprinted.

Home sample collection
For elderly patients, people recovering at home, and anyone who simply can’t make the trip, we can send someone to draw the sample at your house.
Whether we can reach you depends on the distance. We would rather tell you honestly on the phone than take a booking we can’t keep. Call and tell us your village or landmark — you’ll have an answer in the same conversation.
We take corporate and group bookings — pre-policy medicals for insurance, and health checks for offices and staff teams. Tell us the headcount and where you are, and we’ll work out the arrangement.
The blood work and ECG an insurer asks for before issuing a policy, done in one sitting and reported together.
Routine panels for a whole team — sugar, lipids, liver, kidney, thyroid — scheduled as a group instead of one person at a time.
Results for the whole group come back together, on paper at the counter or sent to a single number on WhatsApp.
Whether we can collect at your workplace depends on the distance. For groups we can’t reach, we’ll book your team into the lab together so nobody waits in a queue. Call and we’ll tell you which it is.
